Décrit par la BBC comme « une icône de la musique irlandaise », le groupe Dervish réunit six des meilleurs musiciens traditionnels d’Irlande dont Cathy Jordan, aussi l’une des chanteuses les plus connues du pays.

Lauréats d’un Lifetime Achievement Award aux BBC Folk Awards, le groupe installé à Sligo associe virtuosité technique et rare sensibilité. Ils et elle sont réputés pour leurs prestations sur scène où leurs compositions aux mélodies flamboyantes laissent la part belle à d’étonnantes interprétations de chansons traditionnelles.

Le groupe inclut : Cathy Jordan (voix, bodhran), Tom Morrow (violon), Shane Mitchell (accordéon), Liam Kelly (flûtes), Brian McDonagh (mandola / mandoline) et Michael Holmes (bouzouki).
